BRAND CLOTHES?

I live in a village and I have to take a bus to go to the school. One day in one of these trips I listened the conversation, of guys of first of ESO, about brand clothes. So, in this entry I will explain a little bit this conversation and I will give my opinion.

In this conversation the children criticized a one girl because she was wearing a fake brand shoes. Recently all people, above all young people, have the necessity to wear clothing brand or else they don’t go to fashion or his friends can think that they don’t have money or not dress well.

In my view the brand clothes maybe have more quality but it not means you’re better to wear brand clothing. I think that who things these stupidities are ignorant and superficial people that only wants to appear. I also have to say that most people also judge other people for how they dresses and I think that this fact it’s related about wearing brand clothes because at the end it's the same don’t wear brand clothes and go bad dressed. I invite people to reflect about this because the people who go bad dressed maybe don’t have a lot of money or maybe that’s his style. We have to judge some for his personality but only if we know his story and not for how he dresses.

5 DREAMS IN A GAP YEAR

In English class we talked and worked about a gap year. In this entry I will talk about my bucket list or rather about my dreams and later I put all this dreams in a gap year. I know that I made a composition about a gap year but in this entry I will focus more speaking about my dreams and in the end the other composition was a big travel that I would like to make in a part of a gap year but I also would do more things in this year. I also have to say that I have a lot of dreams but I will try to summarize and I will talk about the biggest dreams. So, some of my biggest dreams are:

v  Step on the five continents. With this words I want to say that my big dream is travel around the world. In this point or dream I would like to do the travel of the other composition, where I talk about a gap year.

v  Collaborate with an NGO or help people with problems. In a future I would like to help people if I can.

v  Do skydiving. Someday I would like to do skydiving and other extreme sports like this.

v  Learnt to play an instrument. In a future I want to learn to play mainly the guitar and piano because are my favorites instruments at the moment.

v  Start a memory jar. Someday I would like to start a memory jar because I have a lot of dreams and a large bucket list and I want to put inside the jar some object or message that remember me the dream fulfilled and when I get old or someday open it and remember all the beautiful moments.

There are five dreams of a large list of dreams but I think that these are broad. All this dreams or rather some of these dreams I would like to do it in a gap year when I have saved and I finished my studies and I can begin to fulfill all my dreams. But I’m sure that in a future I will take a gap yea only for travel around the world.

Tips to improve your Self-esteem

In this entry I will talk about self-esteem and then I give you a tips to improve it. Maybe you are wondering, what is self-esteem? Self-esteem simply means appreciating yourself for who you are, even faults, foibles and all. Most people think that have self-esteem it has to do with the way you look or the how much friends you have or have a great body but these people do not know the true meaning of self-esteem.
The differences between someone with a good self-esteem and someone without this ability it’s simply acknowledgement of your strengths and weaknesses. So, for all this people that don't have this ability, I give you three tips to improve it:

1-    Take a Self-Esteem Inventory. This tip consists in take a piece of paper and divide it into two sections. In one of these we write the strengths and in the other side we write the weaknesses. We have to write 10 of each. I think that with list can be a very good idea for we realized that we have a lot of strengths and abilities and we also can realized that most of our weaknesses may be able to change.

2-     Explore Yourself. In this section we have to know ourselves. We have to opening yourself up to new opportunities, new thoughts, trying out something new, new viewpoints, and new friendships.

3-    Stop Comparing Yourself to Others. We need to stop comparing yourself to others. Nothing can hurt our self-esteem more than unfair comparisons. I think that we have to think about it because maybe we don’t know about the life of people that they can have a lot of things and money and fame but they don't have happiness.

I decide to talk about self-esteem because I don’t have a lot of self-esteem and I also know about people who don’t accept him or love him. So, with this entry I want to say that is so important love ourselves and we have to know that every person in this life is different and everyone have a good abilities and strengths and if some aspect of our life we don’t like it we can change it.

MY FIRST JOB!!

On Christmas holidays I began to work in a butcher's shop. So in this entry will talk about my first job.

I remember that the last summer I really want to work but I was not old enough but now at last I can work. After a Christmas holidays I signed a contract in which I works every Sunday because now I’m in first of Batxillerat and I have to study hard to pass all subjects.
In the work I do a lot of things I’m mainly the saleswoman but I also clean and the most funny I learnt a lot of things about meat, for example how to cut the different types of meat, cook some dishes or learnt how we do hamburger, frankfurts, etc.

In my view I think that it’s a big opportunity to learn a lot of things and I also can train for other works because in this country I think that business owner don’t hire young people because they don’t have experience but if they don’t give us an opportunity, the country can’t improve and a lot of young people has to leave the country to found a job. So in this entry I want to invite all business owner to make a reflection for give young people like me an opportunity to work and learnt a lot of things. I also have to say that I’m so thankful for the opportunity that this shop give to me and I’m sure that in a future this experience can help me.

TAKEN

Last weekend I saw a film with my boyfriend: taken. There are four films about taken but I saw the first and I have to say that I really liked because it’s very entertaining and have a lot of action that’s why I get hooking. I also think that I like it so much because normally I don’t watch action films.

So the film is about Seventeen year-old Kim who is the pride of her father Bryan Mills, who is a retired agent who left the Central Intelligence Agency to be near Kim in California. Kim lives with her mother Lenore and her wealthy stepfather Stuart in a large mansion because Stuart is a rich man. Kim manages to convince her protective father to allow her to travel to Paris with her friend Amanda. When the girls arrive in Paris they meet and share a taxi with a stranger named Peter, and Amanda explained that they are alone in Paris. Using this information an Albanian gang of human traffickers kidnaps the girls. Kim call her father and give him information but when they are talking a band raided the house and kidnap two girls. Her father gets to speak briefly to one of the kidnappers and he promises to kill the kidnappers if they do not let his daughter go free. The kidnapper wishes him "good luck," so Bryan Mills travels to Paris to search for his daughter and her friend.

I can’t explain anything more because this film is a very interesting film and if you are interesting and if you want to know more about the movie you'll have to watch it.

SELF AVALUATION ABOUT PRESENTATIONS.

https://youtu.be/VEFoVT50cQA

The last 11th of March my classmate and I made an oral presentation about New Zealand because we have to choose a country where the official language was English. So in our presentation we talk about information and a gap year in New Zealand.

In the video we can see the presentation and I have to say that we have to improve some things. First of all I want to comment the body language. In the presentation we can see that I don’t look to the public, I think that I do it because I’m so shy and in the oral presentations I’m so nervous buy I also have to say that if we compare this video with the video of the oral presentation, in the first term, in this one I control the nervous better because in the other hardly I spoke well and I stuttered. But anyway I have to overcome this fear and I have to control completely the nervous.

Another aspect I want to comment is the content of the presentation. I think that we can talk more about a gap year, specifically about the prices and specify more. And we also can to explain better the part of information of New Zealand.

Finally I want to say that for the next presentation I will try to improve the result of this presentation trying to control better the nervous, the body language and the content.

I Spent A Day In Jail And It Completely Changed My View Of Inmates

SUMMARY:
Last March 10th of 2016, in Spartanburg County (South Carolina), suffered from one of the worst health rates a couple of years ago, but after a collaboration, in which the writer participates, with nonprofits and other foundations, there was a big change in the health rates of Spartanburg.
Then the writer explains that she has the opportunity to visit the Spartanburg Detention Center and experience something that can only be described as life-changing.

Finally she explains her experience and what she learned and what she’ll never forget:

Ø  Being in jail doesn’t necessarily mean you’re guilty. She learned the difference between being arrested and being convicted. The writer found in the jail a lot of people that are put in jail are people who were arrested and are awaiting their court date so maybe they aren’t convicted felons. She also discovered that some of the people are in jail because they don’t have enough money to bail themselves out. And the rich people who committed a crime roaming freely around the county because they have a lot of money to bail themselves out.

Ø  You eat where you sh*t. The writer can saw the rooms of the jail and she can also saw the awful conditions in which they lived. She realized that there was absolutely no room for activities that involved any kind of physical movement

Ø  You can’t judge circumstances you’ve never experienced. The writer learned something that I think that is one of the most important lesson of her life: It’s wrong to judge someone before hearing his or her story. I think that all of us have to learn this lesson.

Ø  It could be anyone. In this point explains that we have to think about our decisions because one bad decision can put us in jail.

Finally the writer say that she don’t trying to minimize the actions of some of these inmates because some of them have done a lot of bad things, and they know that. She is trying to show our communities that just because someone is in jail or has been to jail, that doesn’t mean he or she is necessarily a bad person. And she also remember us that we cannot judge a book by its cover.

MY OPINION:

In my opinion I completely agree with the writer, Mercedes Leguizano, because we know that a lot of inmates are in a jail because they done bad things but we have to remember that so inmates are in the jail because they have to be drug trafficking considering that they don’t have money to keep on his family or they don’t have money to survive.
I also saw a programme that show us the conditions of some jails in the world and I think that for the bad people that they done terrible things It’s fair but for people that they didn’t do so terrible things and his acts are justify by a rational argument I think that we have to help them. Finally I want to comment another aspect. The most of the citizen judge people when they don’t know his history. I think that we have to change the mentality in that regard because we don’t like to judge us and maybe we can meet someone fantastic and we don’t talk to him for his appearance or another stupid thing.

Ø  It’s never too late. The Spartanburg County Detention Center has many programs that are used to encourage the inmates’ mental health.
