VIDEOS TO REFLECT

Last day, in English class, we see two different videos. In this entry I will comment and give my opinion. The first video was Is fashion sustainable? And the next was Is fashion fair?
IS FASHION SUSTAINABLE?
In this video we can see how introduces two problems there are with one common material: cotton.
First of all, the video explain that cotton is an usual material to make clothes but probably we don’t know that for made one t-shirt we need a lot of water. Then introduces the problem of water because although in planet there are a lot of water we only have access to less than 1%.
The other problem video’s introduces is the energy we needs for made clothes. The video explains and gives examples where, with a graphic, show in what we use this energy.
Finally the video gives two solutions that we can use to solve the two problems. In the first solution the video invites to think about how often we wash and dry clothes. In my opinion I guess that a lot of people are obsess to wash his clothes when they wear it only one day or one moment and, of course, we have to be polish but we also can think about save water because if we spend all and don’t take care of planet we don’t have more planet for live.
The last solution give the video is ask a question where we think about how many clothes we need. There are so people that are addicted to buy clothes and in his wardrobe have a lot of garments that don’t use. I think that all this people could spend less money in clothes that don’t need and, for example, donate to caritas or if they need money sell it and the next time don’t buy many clothes.
IS FASHION FAIR?
In the second video we can see an amazing experiment where, in the middle of square, there is a machine that sell t-shirts for 2€. When people stop to buy it begins a video that explain the situation and conditions of a lot of people in the underdeveloped world. After watch the video, the machine, ask to people if want to donate or buy this 2€. In the video we can see how people donate this insignificant quantity of money. I think that this video is so beautiful but it also is a little hard because we can watch how live a lot of people that is salve and live in awful conditions.
In my opinion most of people that have a lot of money can help and they don’t do it. In the future, if I have money and I can help people, however little is, for example if my neighbour don’t have money to eat and I can buy it some aliments I would like do it. I also think that it would have to do more experiments like this because I think that with this videos people think about it and reflects on the topic.
In summary, we have to be less selfish and if we can help try to help. And we also have to take care of planet because this action or homework can do it all of us and we have to realize fast because we begins to destroy the world.
