BEST MOMENTS OF ITALY

Two weeks ago, I went to Italy with my school and lived amazing moments. Before the trip I was very exited about it because my big dream is travel around the world and, when I was little, I didn't travel much so, going to Italy, for me, was one of the best experiences ever. In this entry I'll talk about some of the best moments, concretely two or three of them which I found presumably special, althought all moments were special for me.

One of these moments was when I saw all Florence, from the outskirts of the city, and I took a selfie. Later we went to the city itself and visited monuments walking around town. Summarizing, when we went to Florence because it's a city full of history, monuments... and it's also so beautiful.

Another of my favorite moments was when we went to Roma and visited all the monumets there. The two monuments I found the most striking were the Colisseo and the Pantheon because they were so big and delightful. Well, the time we stayed in Roma was one of my favorite moments because of the city's environment that I liked so much.

I've just explained two of my favorite moments, but I have a lot of other incredible and amazing moments and cities to show, though I can't explain all the best moments for me because, in this trip, all moments were the best and I liked them so much: all the cities cities, monuments, food... from Italy.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE BOOK AND THE FILM: Romeo & Juliet

In English class we worked abou love, for exemple kinds of love, love songs, Romeo and Juliet's book (rather a versión for non-English students) and finally we watched the film with the same name (the 1996 film Romeo and Juliet). This entry will deal about the differences between the film and book of Romeo and Juliet.

The first difference is the setting: in the book the story happens during medieval times, while in the movie we can see the fervency of the '90s; another notable difference to bear in mind regarding the setting of the story is the name given to the city: while both stories happen in Verona, in the book it's referred as Fair Verona but in the movie it's called Verona Beach.

Another difference is metaphors that we can see in the movie but not in the book, such as the water (for example, in the swimming pool in front of Juliet's balcony) that represents the peace between the two families or the fire (like, for example, the burning gas station during the initial fight) that represents the fight between two families.

The film has a very different language than the book since, even though some characters still talk in verse, it uses modern and vulgar language. Oher differences are seen in basic elements: the most obvious of these is the fact that swords and daggers have turned into guns in the film; note that those guns have the words 'sword' or 'dagger' on them.
